STUDENT - TEACHING ASSISTANT
As a full-time graduate student, I took a variety of courses in history at California State University, East Bay. I also provided support as a teaching assistant for undergraduate courses.

EXTENDED CARE DIRECTOR
As director of the after-school programs and extended care for grades K-8th, I was responsible for the supervision and safety of children, the supervision and management of staff, maintaining the budget, and developing a positive rapport with students, parents, and program teachers.

INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANT - TEACHER
I taught 6th grade science, was the co-teacher for 8th grade social studies, and instructional assistant to the science teacher and technology coordinator. I led science class daily, including weekly science labs, instructional planning, and grading. I assisted teachers with classroom instruction, planning, and grading.

As a teacher of student groups in summer zoo camp, grades K-5th, I led zoo tours, created science and nature lessons, organized arts & crafts,

As an undergraduate I double majored in History and Community Studies and minored in Education. I graduated cum laude from the University of California, Santa Cruz. For two semesters I worked as a teaching assistant for an upper-division social science course.
